Avoid Facepalm: Your Market Day Checklist

EEven the most seasoned vendor has the occasional rushed departure on a market day and utters the inevitable ‘Awww #$@*!’ that comes on the realization that something critical has been left at home. Here is a checklist I came up with when I was schlepping my vintage housewares to pop up events around the city. You’ll never run out the door without your phone/float/inventory again… unless you forget the list.

Did I miss anything? What are your market day necessities? Let us know!

    Great comprehensive list Diana.

I have gone through a few ‘Awww $#@*!’ and facepalm moments myself!

For sellers who sell items like jewelry or clothes that may need to be tried on, having a mirror for buyers comes in handy.

Another thing the accountant in me makes me do is to keep note of all the sales I make in a small notebook that I take to every market. It also helps me figure out what items need to be restocked or taken off online if I am sold out.

I also like having some personal money separate from the float for some shopping if I get a chance. 🙂

Wear comfy shoes. Can’t stress that one enough!

    Hi Chandni!
Thanks for the extra items! I’m adding them to the list now.
